Rocky!

Rocky is here for a few days and the sun was shining so I piled all 5 into the car and took them to Mill Pond, our local park and duck haven. The dogs got so much attention , socialization and correcting. Penny goes nuts when she sees another dog but I find that just getting her attention and putting my hand on her to break her out of prey mode does the trick. I was watching Cesar and his rough handling of a little one reacting to a larger dog. I just don't get the reason for such rough handling when a gentle touch and redirection seems to work, at least with my dogs.

People always ask the same questions, "Are they all YOURS"?? the next question was about the breed. Many people still haven't heard of a Havanese and almost NONE have heard of a Bolognese. When questioned, I took the opportunity to discuss what a "good breeder" is vs. the "other kind" , the ones who breed for profit without health testing.

I have to admit it's a challenge walking 5 together, especially when a certain sweety likes to cross over my feet.

We had our small family over for Passover last night including a total of 6 doggies; my 4, Tiffany's Marley (my baby boy) and sweet tiny Taffy who brought along Geoff and Joan. It was the nicest Passover I can remember in years, because of the dogs. The food was pretty good too, I don't mind saying. Everyone's face was absolutley glowing with love. These creatures have such power to enrich us.
